Update - January 2025

Spectrum Gynecology & Transgender Care was created in the Summer of 2024, during a time of uncertainty in my life. While debating next steps, I was inspired to create a welcoming medical practice that could care for patients without many of the limitations imposed by our current health care system from health insurers and corporate medicine. This meant starting my own practice from the ground up.

Medical school is not business school and there were many holes in my knowledge. I have learned a great deal about what it takes to open and run a medical practice. Additionally, I have learned where my limits are and what I can give to an entrepreneurial effort, energetically and materially.

The long and short of it is this: I need more resources - time, energy, money - than I have right now to open this practice. I have done 90% of the work to get started, but this last 10% is a steep climb and I need a rest before I can continue.

I remain committed to the vision of this practice and Spectrum Gynecology & Transgender Care WILL exist.

There are many scary things happening to health care and for the LGBTQ community right now. While we don’t know what the future brings, we know that no one has the power to declare that we do not exist. Trans people have always existed and they will continue to exist. And we will continue to care for them.
